Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt is persuaded that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the best full-back Englishman. Before the start of the 2019-20 season, Wan-Bissaka, 22, joined Manchester United from the South London club and soon claimed an undisputed spot in the starting line-up of Red Devils.
Though Alexander-Arnold is a year younger than his United rival, he already boasts a Champions League winning the medal and is almost assured of finishing as a Premier League champion in 2020.
However, reproducing his club form on the international stage, despite the competition at the right-back offered by Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold, may prove an even harder prospect.

He also prefers his former team-mate Van Aanholt “Better than Alexander-Arnold. Without a question he told the podcast Counter Attack, when speaking about the young leader of United.”We are different athletes. Aaron is extremely defensive, stronger than Trent. Yeah, Trent had his attack, his right foot, and his corners.”
“I admire Trent and with his help he does all because he’s good but defensively just ask Sterling how powerful Wan-Bissaka is” he said.
“He’s one of the best right-backs, I think he’s great to defend, but he needs to score more goals or improves his name. Defending comes first, because you need to play in the modern game and you’ve got much of the pitch at United, so you go in to demonstrate what you’ve got, and he’s done well.”
Some of the best efforts of Wan-Bissaka in a United shirt to date came in their derby win over City, a game that Van Aanholt claims left Sterling in no doubt about the talent of the right-back.
